And just like that, the school year is ending in a couple of weeks and quite honestly, I have not a clue where the time went. Next week, we switch gears to summer before our annual summer blog break.

I’m still trying to knock out my TBR pile that’s on my nightstand. So far, I’m into my third book called, The Secret History of Home Economics: How Trailblazing Women Harnessed the Power of Home and Changed the Way We Live by Danielle Dreilinger. In Home Economics class, we really only baked cookies and learned to sew buttons; but in reality, it’s the science of better living. The field provided many opportunities for twentieth-century women outside the home, enabling them to become chemists and marketers, research childhood development, change food culture, analyze nutritional value, create astronaut food, the list goes on. Pretty much the exact opposite of Harrison Butker’s commencement address.
My husband and I recently celebrated our 10-year anniversary, or to quote from New Girl, “Tinfinity”. As part of our tradition, we like to get each other customary gift items and for year 10, the gift is tin/aluminum. I found this Engraved Tin 10th Anniversary Periodic Table of Elements Glass and he got a kick out of it.
With summer approaching (and a couple of vacay trips planned), I did a little Cupshe haul. I snagged this Wide Leg Jumpsuit, a Paisley Maxi Dress, and this Red Boho Mini Dress. Plus, I upgraded to these Reef Cushion Harmony Flip Flops for the season.
As for the kids coming off our April Board Game series, they are currently playing with:
SEQUENCE for Kids
Noodle Knockout!
LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Supersonic Jet Plane
LEGO Technic Monster Jam Megalodon

This spring, I enjoyed a double-dose of murder. We bought Murder Most Puzzling for a family visit in March. I also started Murdle, Volume 2 during my trip in January. Volume 3 just came out if you need a logic puzzle switch up.
It is embarrassing how much The Tortured Poets Department is in my rotation. I’m sure Taylor will appreciate the streams, and my friends will hate how this changes their Apple Music Friends playlist (if anyone actually follows me).
Since this is launching Thursday morning, I will mostly likely be making my way through the new season of Bridgerton. Phone is on Do Not Disturb.
And in case you wanted more books for your TBR, I just picked up Long Island by Colm Toibin. It’s the sequel to one my top comfort movies. My book club is reading Horse by Geraldine Brooks. And on Audible, I have James by Percival Everett, a really outstanding reimagining of Huckleberry Finn.
Next week, we dive into our summer plans so I’ll wait to share my arsenal for that. But as far as road trip logistics go, we bought an audio splitter for the girls’ headphones, a new hardside Travelpro bag for me, and loaded up the girls with a young Amelia Bedelia box set.
We are super excited to share that we’ve gotten an Amazon upgrade. All of our past Things We Loved posts have been linked to a #FounditonAmazon Idea List. But now, we’ve finally graduated to an Influencer storefront. Obviously, that means commission. We’re still kind of neophytes in this game, though.
Thank you again to our awesome readers and happy end of the school year!
